Treat all users, fans, brands, and team members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind is not tolerated.

Be truthful in your dealings. Don't create fake invoices, misrepresent your work, or deceive brands or fans.

Respect others' privacy. Don't share personal information about fans, brands, or other creators without consent.

Compliance

Follow Indian laws including GST, TDS, income tax, and consumer protection regulations in all your business dealings.

1. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all users of adda.social โ€” creators, their fans, brands, and any third parties interacting with the platform. It covers all features: invoicing, payments, communities, digital products, and public-facing pages.

2. Expected Behaviour

  • Create accurate, truthful invoices that reflect real services rendered
  • Deliver the services or products you promise to fans and brands
  • Communicate delays or issues proactively rather than going silent
  • Use WhatsApp and payment features responsibly โ€” no spam
  • Respect the intellectual property of others
  • Maintain your community spaces as safe, inclusive environments
  • Report bugs and issues honestly rather than exploiting them

3. Prohibited Behaviour

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension:

  • Fraud: Creating fake invoices, claiming GST numbers you don't own, or misrepresenting transactions
  • Harassment: Targeting fans, brands, or other creators with abusive messages or content
  • Hate speech: Content that demeans individuals based on religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability, or ethnicity
  • Illegal content: Selling prohibited goods, non-consensual intimate content, or content that violates Indian law
  • Spam: Using tip pages, paid DMs, or community features to send unsolicited bulk messages
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another creator, brand, or public figure
  • Money laundering: Using adda.social to process payments for illegal activities
  • Platform abuse: Attempting to bypass payment processing, evade taxes, or manipulate the platform

4. Fan and Buyer Protections

Creators using adda.social are expected to:

  • Deliver digital products promptly after payment
  • Honor consultation bookings or provide timely refunds for cancellations
  • Be transparent about what community members receive for their subscription
  • Not charge fans for services that will not be delivered

5. Content Standards

Content on adda.social (product descriptions, tip pages, community names, DM services) must:

  • Be honest and not misleading
  • Not promote illegal products or services
  • Not contain adult content on public-facing pages
  • Not infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property
  • Comply with ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) guidelines for sponsored content disclosures

6. Tax Responsibility

Creators are responsible for their own tax compliance. adda.social provides tools and calculations, but:

  • Do not evade GST or TDS obligations
  • Do not provide false GSTIN or PAN information
  • File your returns accurately based on invoices generated
  • Consult a CA for complex tax situations

7. Enforcement

Violations of this Code may result in:

  • Warning and request to correct behaviour
  • Temporary suspension of specific features
  • Permanent account ban
  • Reporting to relevant Indian authorities (in cases of fraud or illegal activity)

We review reports fairly and give creators a chance to explain before taking action (except in cases of clear illegal activity).

8. Reporting Violations

If you witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to support@adda.social with:

  • Description of the violation
  • Creator handle or profile link (if applicable)
  • Any evidence (screenshots, transaction IDs)

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. We protect reporter identity.
