adda.social is operated by BUILTFORBUSINESS LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use our platform at adda.social.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address (for authentication via OTP)
• Name, PAN number, GSTIN (for invoicing)
• UPI ID and bank details (for payment collection via Razorpay)
• Social media handles (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Business details (invoice prefix, company name)
• Content you upload (digital products, profile photos)

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data (pages visited, features used)
• Device and browser information
• IP address (for security purposes)
• Cookies for session management

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve our Services
• To generate GST-compliant invoices on your behalf
• To process payments via Razorpay
• To send transactional notifications (invoice sent, payment received)
• To provide customer support
• To comply with Indian law (Income Tax Act, GST Act)
• To detect and prevent fraud

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled on every table. This means:

• Only you can read and write your own records
• Our team cannot query your financial data
• All data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS)
• Data is stored on servers within secure data centers

Payment data is handled by Razorpay (PCI DSS compliant). We never store card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

• Razorpay — for payment processing (only necessary payment data)
• Supabase — our database provider (encrypted storage)
• Government authorities — when required by Indian law

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect platform functionality.

7. Your Rights

Under Indian data protection principles, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your data
• Correct — update inaccurate information
• Delete — request deletion of your account and data (within 30 days)
• Export — download your data before account deletion
• Object — opt out of non-essential communications

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. For legal compliance (GST, Income Tax), invoice and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian law. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days; financial records required for compliance are anonymized.

9. Children's Privacy

adda.social is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We'll notify you via email of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
